#Agenda | A pro-bono lawyer
After making it to the headlines for challenging the controversial “No-Contact Apprehension Policy,” Atty. Juman Paa shares how he started as a lawyer by getting pro-bono cases after passing bar exams in 2015.
Paa says he had no clients back then, so he started entertaining curious convicts in prison.
So dati, lima lang, naging sampu,” Paa says.
A “pro-bono” refers to being involved in legal work without payment from a client for the public good, according to Merriam-Webster.
